Ed Wilson is one of a rare breed of entrepreneurial-minded, modern media executives who move seamlessly between traditional and emerging media and gracefully from the hard-edged executive boardroom and sales arena to the softer space of content creation and talent development.
Wilson is the Vice-Chariman and CEO of Attensity Media, an actionable media intelligence company, based in Los Angeles and Palo Alto. Wilson also consults and angel invests through his company Dreamcatcher Media. He helped construct a multi-faceted broadcast and digital partnership with iconic television personality Katie Couric, works closely with Guggenheim Partners in a senior media advisory role, and provides integrated sales advisory and content strategy services for Yahoo!. Additionally, Wilson serves as both advisor and investor to a diverse portfolio of companies, including: GoodRx, a price aggregator for affordable, local pharmaceuticals; Content & Company, a new-school brand-supported content studio creator; EcoMom, a specialist in eco-friendly products for mothers; E Agency, a provider of mobile security products to consumers, businesses, and wireless carriers; Chill Video, an online community aggregating and sharing the most popular multi-platform video; and Screen Tribe, an online platform connecting fans via social media to enrich the viewing experience of film and television.
Between 1996 and 2010, Wilson served as President at a succession of top media companies including: Tribune Broadcasting, FOX Television Network, NBC Enterprises, and CBS Enterprises.
Born and raised in Rison, Arkansas, Wilson is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BS/BA in Finance. Wilson currently serves on the Board of the USO and the Board of Trustees at Southern Methodist University.
Larry Leisure is the Vice Chairman of Attensity Media. In addition to his leadership role as Vice Chairman, Leisure serves as an Operating Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and as the Managing Partner of AccelusHealth Partners, LLC, a consulting and advisory firm serving the digital health, life sciences and managed care sectors.
Lesiure served in a number of distinguished senior advisory and management roles throughout his consulting career. Leadership positions included Accenture, where he was the Global Managing Partner for the Health Vertical; Price Waterhouse, where he led their Managed Care practices; and Towers Perrin, where he led their Group Benefits and Managed Care practices.
Currently, Lesiure sits on the board of directors of several venture-backed bioscience, information technology, and green tech companies, including Attensity Media, Crescendo Bioscience, Direct Dermatology, Project Frog, Seriosity, and Tethys Bioscience.
Leisure received his AB in Economics from Stanford University and his MBA in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
He resides in Atherton, California with his wife Bren.
Mitchell Chun is the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy of Attensity Media. He has nearly 20 years of leadership experience in the media and digital media industries, having held a number of senior executive positions in network and corporate development, strategy and finance at Yahoo! Inc., Fox Interactive Media, Fox Networks Group, Universal Networks, and Zazzle Inc.
In 2008, he co-founded 5to1.com, a premium online advertising platform, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy. There, he led all financing activities at the company, raising multiple rounds of funding, and managed the eventual sale of 5to1 to Yahoo! Inc. in 2011.
While at Fox, he was part of the core team that architected the Hulu online video business, executed the landmark $1 billion MySpace/Google advertising deal, and led efforts to launch over a dozen MVPD networks worldwide.
He holds a BA in Quantitative Economics and a minor in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
To his role as Attensity CTO Ian brings more than 20 years of experience delivering innovative research technology into the commercial mainstream. Ian is responsible for providing the technical and strategic product vision to complement the company’s business vision, setting the tone and direction for Attensity’s technologies and business applications. Prior to Attensity, Ian was vice president of technology development and strategy at Business Objects, an SAP company. He came to Business Objects through its acquisition of Inxight Software. As co-founder of Inxight, Ian led the definition and development of what became the industry’s broadest text analysis platform; he also held senior product management and engineering management roles at Logos Corporation and Inso Corporation. Ian began his commercial career at IBM as a computational linguist.
Nathan leads the research and development group at Attensity. In this role he serves to coordinate the integration of Attensity’s language technology with both the front and back end platforms. Nathan has over 14 years experience in natural language processing and high scalability technologies. In addition to his years in developing software Nathan has a BA in theoretical linguistics from the University of Utah.
